Internal Complaint Policy
SKIPS UNIVERSITY: Upholding a Zero-Tolerance Approach to Sexual Harassment
We maintain a staunch dedication to fostering a study atmosphere that ensures safety and respect for every member of our scholarly community. This aligns with the Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act of 2013 and its following regulations.
We have formed an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to guarantee a harassment-free environment for our educators, personnel, and pupils. The ICC is a specialized entity created to tackle any occurrences of sexual harassment in our university, sticking firmly to the directives issued by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
ICC Composition:
- Presiding officer
- Faculty members
- Staff members
- Student representatives
- NGO representative
Core Functions
- The main function of the ICC is to implement the Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act in our university.
- It is responsible for receiving and addressing complaints of sexual harassment and ensuring prompt and fair redressal.
- The ICC is also responsible for conducting regular sensitivity programs and workshops to raise awareness about sexual harassment and the rights of individuals
- Preserving privacy and upholding the honor of each individual filing a complaint is our top priority.
- Ensure that neither the victims nor the witnesses are subjected to any form of mistreatment or bias during the handling of sexual harassment complaints.
- The ICC proactively conducts examinations to gauge the level and types of sexual harassment present within the institution.
- After a comprehensive probe, the committee guarantees that suitable measures are enforced against the perpetrator, depending on the seriousness of their misconduct.
Speak Up, We're Here for You!
Our university believes in the right of each person to work and study in an environment devoid of sexual harassment. Hence, we aim to foster a climate of regard and respect where everyone feels secure. If you or someone you know has been subjected to any form of sexual harassment, we urge you to report it to the ICC.
Your voice is significant. Together, we can create a campus that’s safer and more respectful for all.
